Educators in Nokaneng Circuit under Nkangala Region in Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality say they have had enough of the alleged corruption and fraudulent activities by the circuit manager Mrs Moagi.

As an attempt to get Department of Education’s attention on the allegations, educators in the region went on a picketing at the circuit offices in Nokaneng earlier today to raise their concerns and also call for her dismissal.

Among other issues raised by the said educators include suspected fraudulent appointment of a principal at Seabe High School without going through shortlisting and interviews.

They also accuse her of picking her preferred and close young friends for senior posts in the circuit office, approving an inflated Seabe High School learner enrolment in 2019 among others.

Speaking at the picketing, Moretele branch (SADTU) chairperson Themba Sambo, said they want full investigation on all alleged matters since they have been raising complaints for over a year now.

He added that failure to respond to their memorandum and complaints by the district or circuit office, they will be going on a total shutdown on Thursday.

The Department of Education in the province and the manager had not commented at the time of publishing this article. Their comments will be added to the article as soon they are received.
