Like many other sporting activities that have been negatively affected by the global pandemic Africa Cup of Nations found themselves having to follow the unusual route.
It was announced by the confederation that the tournament which was supposed to take place in Cameroon has been postponed until 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
CAF president Ahmad Ahmad said the decision to postpone was solely based on prioritising everyone’s health.
The CAF Champions League will round up its matches in September while the Confederation Cup will wrap up towards the end of this year with a ‘Final Four’ expected to take place in Morocco.
