Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies crowned first ever Caf Women’s Champions

The team under management of Coach Jerry Tshabalala and Captained by Zanele Nhlapho, they beat Ghanaian side Hasaacas Ladies 2-0 in the final at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo through a goal in each half by Chuene Morifi and Andisiwe Mgcoyi to become the first team to lift this trophy.

Tshabalala said post match that they were well prepared and ready to face Hasaacas Ladies and they knew all their weaknesses very well.

Also called Banyana Ba Style, The Brazilians opened the scoring after 32 minutes through a close range effort of Morifi who shook the net.

All thanks to a well-taken cross from Mgcoyi who also registered her goal in the second half to take score to 2-0.
