Wife and Co-accused Remains in Custody for the Alleged Murder of Husband

A 41 years old woman Busi Mita, remains in police custody after making a brief appearance in court together with her co-accused for the murder of her husband in Mpumalanga.

58 years old businessman, funeral parlour owner Jabulani Isaac Nkosi was shot and killed on Sunday 19 January around 08:00am at his home and suspects then fled the scene shortly after shooting him.

He was declared dead on the scene by emergency medical services after being called to the scene.

It is also said that this was not the first time the deceased was shot.

The first incident occurred on 08 January 2020, at about 23h15, whereby suspects found Nkosi in his bedroom and the two men started to demand money from him. Nkosi fought back and in the process, he was shot but later released from the hospital after receiving medical attention. 

Suspects who are aged between 29 and 47 Muntu Mashinini, Sipho Dube, Thokozane Radebe, Zenele Malindisi, as well as a 17-year-old girl were arrested few days after thorough investigations.

The motive behind his killing is yet to be discovered. Suspects will appear again in court on February 3rd for formal bail hearing and further investigations.
