Pankop Mob Apprehends Suspect in Connection with Crimes in the Community

Pankop community takes law into their hands in a mob justice.

A middle aged man was rushed to hospital by police after being assaulted by the community.

He was accused of being involved in petty crimes and theft around the community.

This is the same suspect we reported about late last year who was caught stealing in a house in Pankop. Apparently this time he stole box of chicken feets and sold it for R28. 00

Mpumalanga Police Spokesperson Leonard Hlathi said the suspect was involved in various house and business robberies. He also urged community members not to take law into their hands and allow law enforcement agencies to do their work.

Police are still investigating the matter and no one has been arrested.
