As the number of infections in Covid-19 shoots up to 240 nation wide, a call was also made to the business fraternities in the country to lend a hand in helping fight the virus.
Telecommunications company Telkom answered the call by committing to helping the government fight the disease. They pledged R15m which go to primary health service.
They also said that the money will used to support healthcare workers who are at the frontline of the battle against the spread of Covid-19 particularly in South Africa’s most vulnerable communities.
Telkom has also announced it will not charge any data costs for students accessing learning material for universities and public schools.
