South Africa records 72% Covid-19 recovery rate as cases also continue to rise.
Dr Zweli Mkhize says that the country now stands at 538 184 cases with Gauteng still the epicenter at 187 631 cases follows by the Western Cape at 98 599 cases.
Health ministry also confirmed 306 cases in the last 24 hours.
Of the 306 cases KwaZulu Natal recorded the most with 78 deaths, Gauteng 75, Eastern Cape 66, Western Cape 46, Free State 23 and Northern Cape 18.
