Prosecutor Arrested for Demanding Bribe to Make Case Disappear in Limpopo

Limpopo Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Major General Thobeka Jozi commends Hawks Officials for a successful arrest of a prosecutor at Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court.

The 48 years old prosecutor allegedly asked a perpetrator who was charged of reckless driving and negligence for R 6000.00 to make his case disappear.

Hawks Officials were alerted about the matter and the prosecutor was immediately arrested after accepting the money.

He is expected to appear in the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 May 2020 to face corruption charges.
