Suspects caught handing 25K to Hawks IO to make docket disappear

Hawks Spokesperson in the North West Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso confirms an arrest of two suspects who allegedly tried to bribe an investigating officer to make a docket disappear.

Rikhotso said that the pair, who are aged 50 & 28, was nabbed at the Hawks offices, moments after handing over R25 000 and a bottle of Glenfiddich whisky to the investigating officer.

Furthermore, their vehicle was searched and R41 500 was allegedly also found. The money was seized for further investigations.
