Police remanded in police custody

The murder case against a 28 years old police murderer Zanele Mkhonto has been postponed to November 27th for pre-sentencing by the Mbombela High Court.
Mkhonto was positively linked to the murder of 45 years old Sergeant Mandlenkosi Happy Thwala which occurred on the Tuesday night of August 2nd, 2022 at Gedlembane in Pienaar.
According to the statement by the police, Mkhonto was Thwala’s girlfriend at the time. She was arrested 8 days later and made a court appearance on the same where she was remanded in police custody after being denied bail.
She pleaded guilty to the murder.
