President Matamela Ramaphosa to appear before State Capture Commission

Spotlight is set to be on Commission of Inquiry into State Capture today as the President of the governing party African National Congress (ANC) Matamela Ramaphosa is set to make an appearance.

The commission this through a statement where they also emphasized strict Covid-19 protocols to be observed during the appearance by the President.

Ramaphosa will be appearing as the leader of the governing party and he will be giving testimony on his knowledge of state capture during his tenure as the Deputy President of the party and leader of business at the time.

Ramaphosa was also implicated by several witnesses who accused him of playing a hand in how some major companies monopolized government tenders and contracts. They alleged that he used his status in the government and shareholding in some companies to score contracts.
