Number of Covid-19 related deaths increase by 114 in 24 hours bringing 6 769 total deaths

SA have recorded 114 new Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours bringing the total numbers to 6 769 with 11 233 new confirmed cases.
Of the 114 new deaths, 34 were from Limpopo, 30 from the Western Cape, 29 from Gauteng, 12 from KZN, 7 from the Eastern Cape and 2 from the Northern Cape.
Minister Mkhize says Gauteng continues to be the epicenter with 160 154 cases.
“As of today, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is 445 433, the total number of deaths is 6 769 and the total number of recoveries is 265 077”.
Mkhize also said Northern Cape continues to be the least hit with 3 600 cases in the country.
