Covid-19 Cases hits 37 000 Mark in SA

Health Ministry register new number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa with Western Cape still leading.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said through a statement late Wednesday night that although they record new cases on daily basis, they also see a number of recoveries going up.

“As of today, the cumulative number of confirmed covid-19 cases is 37 525, the total number of deaths is 792 and the recoveries to date are 19 682” said minister.

Western Cape now sits at 13 696 followed by Gauteng now at 2 169.

Of the 37 new deaths that were reported on Wednesday, 29 were from the Western Cape, 7 from Eastern Cape and 1 from KwaZulu Natal.
