[Watch] Road explosion in Jo’burg CBD

Another explosion which saw several people getting injured occurred again in Gauteng, but this time it happened in the CBD of Johannesburg just as people were going home.

Many people were scared to see what one could describe as an almost apocalypse as a road got burst open at Bree Street.

The  Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) said the explosion occurred between Bree and Simmonds Streets in the busy city centre on Wednesday night.

Although full details are yet to be made public, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi said they think it was a gas explosion.

As a result, around 41 were hospital but no deaths were recorded.
