Former Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prada) Lucky Montana has accused the African National Congress (ANC) and President Ramaphosa of lying to the State Capture Commission.
Montana came out guns blazing for the second time earlier this week saying President Ramaphosa was not being truthful when he told Commission Chairperson DCJ Raymond Zondo that the ANC is anti-corruption and has been trying on many occasions to make sure that they don’t abuse their power as the governing party to steal state funds.
He also said that Ramaphosa failed to disclose how the party would misuse their and how SOEs were used to bankroll the party to find their conferences and some leaders.
“It is the way of life in the ANC that when you are in that position, you also have to find a way, whether directly or indirectly, to assist the ANC. It is a culture that is there.”
“What the ANC told the commission can never be true. Those of us who were in the public service, before we were even CEOs, know the ANC had a particular way of doing things. This thing did not start in 2007 when [former president] Jacob Zuma is a president,” he added.
President Ramaphosa earlier on went to the Commission to testify as a party President and is due to appear again at the Commission as a State President.
