Despite what is shown and reported in media about the ANC President Matamela Ramaphosa having many odds against him going up for the second term, numbers don’t lie.
Report released by ANC electoral commission head and former President Kgalema Motlanthe in a media briefing showed that Ramaphosa still enjoys the support of most branches who wants him to go for the second term.
Numbers showed that Ramaphosa enjoys over 1 000 support for the second against Dr Zweli Mkhize.
“I will not give you the tallies of each and every province but the total tally of nominations. For President Ramaphosa the total is 2,037 and for Dr Zweli Mkhize it is 916. These are the two names nominated for president,” Motlanthe said.
