The Daily Maverick and Stephen Groetes loses a case against Public Protector Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane at the press ombudsman.
The case the online publication and SA FM presenter was brought when Stephen Grootes wrote a Daily Maverick article: “Busi Mkhwebane – How to ruin a Chapter 9 institution in 28 months” in which the public protector say she was not given a right of reply.
In media statement released by the public protector they said that it was also not the first time the publication denied her a right of reply in articles written about her.
The public protector’s office welcomed the ruling.
