Eastern Cape police confirm an arrest of a 47 years old woman who was found in possession drugs in Skiet informal settlements,
This is according to Captain Khaya Tonjeni who said that the arrest came as a result of an intelligence driven by police.
“The suspect was caught with dagga weighing 6,7kg with a street value of R7000,00. The suspect was also found with 280 mandrax tablets and 75 tik drugs with a street value of R5000,00.”
“The suspect was arrested following police intelligence that she was dealing in dagga and drugs.”
“She has been charged with dealing in dagga and dealing in drugs and will appear before the Butterworth Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 30 October 2020.”
The arrest was welcome by the provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga who said such people do not belong in the public, they should be put behind bars.
