Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela gets a municipality named after her

Struggle stalwart mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has finally received her well deserving recognition years after passing on.
This follows a recent decision to rename Mbizana Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape to her name.
In a statement released by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s department said that the renaming of Mbizana Local Municipality is an important step towards ensuring that as an entity named after Winnie Madikizela Mandela, who was a champion of the poor, serves its communities with care and responds to their concerns timeously.
