South African Football Association (SAFA) CEO Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe has confirmed that the national team Bafana Bafana has already parted ways with coach Molefi Ntseki.

He made this announcement at a Press Conference convened after Bafana Bafana’s return from Sudan on Monday morning having lost 2-0 in the final AFCON Cameroon qualifier and thereby failing to qualify for the biennial tournament.

Ntseki had only been with the team since 2019 after their parting ways with Stuart Baxter.

Advocate Motlanthe said that the decision was taken following a meeting with the SAFA NEC.

“The SAFA NEC undertook a process on Tuesday night to decide on the way forward on what happens to the coach and by 10h00 on Wednesday, the SAFA NEC responded in favour of partying ways with the coach,’’

He added that although the decision has been taken already, there are still some administrative and legal matters that needs to be attended to.

He also said that with the hunt for new coach, their target has now moved to making sure that they qualify for the world cup competition.
