A case against self-confessed murderer in Kgabalatsane has been postponed to July 2nd for attorney instructions following brief appearance at Brits Magistrates Court.

It is said according to reports by the police that a 51 years old Benjamin Mokone from Kgoabalatsane in Brits approached the 7 years old little girl after being dropped off at Letlhabile Mall after school as per usual.

He then called the little girl on this unfortunate day, Juune 22, who had no reason to suspect anything of him as he used to date her mother.

Took the child to the bushes in Block H in Letlhabile where he allegedly killed her.

This is according to DPP Spokesperson in Tshwane Lumka Mahanjana region who also said that the police were made aware of the incident by the mother having been worried of her daughter not returning home at the usual time and not being where she’s always dropped off after school.

“The police went to the spot where the child is usually dropped off at the mall. Fortunately, opposite the drop off spot there is a shop with cctv cameras which captured the incident. Mokone was called to the police station and charged with kidnapping.”

“The following day on 23 June 2021, Mokone confessed and subsequently pointed out the child’s body which was found half naked with injuries on the head” said Mahanjana.

It is said that her lifeless body was found half naked with injuries on the head.
