Grandson stabs grandmother to death in Maboloka near Brits

A 70 years old woman Elsie Matlhasedi, has lost her life following multiple stab wounds at the hands of her grandson.

The incident is said to have occurred in Tambo Section, Maboloka in North West on Monday.

Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani alleged that the lifeless body of the deceased Matlhasedi was found by her son lying in a pool of blood with the said 30 years old suspect, the grandson, next to the corpse holding a knife.

The suspect then fled scene as the uncle was calling the police.

“The suspect allegedly stabbed himself with a knife and eventually fell on the ground in a bushy area while being chased by the uncle. The Motive for the killing is still unknown.”
