Mother poisons herself and children

Family and community members shocked at the discovery of five corpses including that of a mother who poisoned herself before poisoning five children in Phamong village in Qwaqwa. 

Of the children that were poisoned, Police Spokesperson in the province Motantshi Makhele said that some of the children passed away in hospital while some were declared dead on the scene.

Only a six months toddler survived the traumatic ordeal.

Police also allege that the 29 years old mother did this shortly after getting into an argument with her husband.
