Dr Magudumana heads to court to have her arrest declared unlawful

Desperate times calls for desperate measures as the former fugitive Dr Nandipha Magudumana heads to the court to ask the court to declare her arrest in Tanzania unlawful.

She also seeks an immediate release from detention at Kroonstad prison where she alsk appeared in court via a virtual link last week.

Magudumana was arrested in April together with her co-accused rapist and murderer Thabo Bester in Tanzania after being on the run for months.

Magudumana was accused of having played part in the escape of Bester from Mangaung prison last year after faking his death together with her father, Zolile Sekeleni, on 3 May 2022 and other co-accused.

She is set appear with Sekeleni and Bester again on 20 June.
