Defence Minister saddened by the Death of Alexandra Man

Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula calls for calm and space to be given law enforcement agencies and investigators so they can make their final from findings on the death of a resident from Alexandra who allegedly passed away at the hands of SANDF members.

An Alexandra man was seen in a video which was circulated on social media with his hands tied up and allegedly being assaulted.

He apparently later on passed away from injuries he suffered. It is said that the deceased’s wife said her husband was in a bad state and not responding when she spoke to him after the alleged beating.

South African National Defence Force said they would rather wait for final finding before they can make any comment of the matter.
