The newly Gauteng ANC chairperson Panyaza Lesufi has rubbished claims that suggested that the outgoing chairperson Gauteng Premier David Makhura would not finish his term.
Speaking in a media briefing, Lesufi also put to rest claims that Gauteng ANC has two centers of power.
Makhura’s term as the chairperson ended this past weekend but is set to remain Gauteng Premier until the next elections in 2024.
It is said that detractors in the organization are of the view that Lesufi should rather consider taking over from Makhura who is on his second term so as to better sell himself to the public to vote for him in 2024.
Lesufi will be joined in the new Gauteng leadership by Morake Mosopyoe, Tasneem Motara, Thembinkosi TK Nciza and Nomanatu Nkomo Ralehoko.
