With just less than 2 weeks after joining the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, the founding Chairperson and former of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Adv Dali Mpofu is now singing praises for former President Jacob Zuma and called for calm and discipline in the 11 months old party. Mpofu made an announcement during a TV interview on SABC that he will be leaving the party, EFF to join MK Party.

Something that came as a surprise to many people when he also said that the plan to join the party has long been in the pipeline and he is one of the people who suggested the formation of the party and also wrote the Constitution of the party.

However, party leader Julius Malema said he was not surprised by Mpofu’s announcement because he also made a suggestion before elections last year that political parties should rather dismantle their structures and join Jacob Zuma in forming MK Party to which Malema said it will not happen.

Saying that the EFF has come a long way for them to abandon ship when they have reached this point. Seen supposedly addressing the squabbles that have been going on in the party since they acquired major votes in the recent elections, Mpofu said that people should not see themselves as higher or more important than that because the party is still new and they are all equal.

Mpofu left the EFF to join former Deputy President Floyd Shivambu, Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Mzwanele Manyi.
