Police Spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda has confirmed an arrest of three women aged between 24 and 39 who were found in possession of 32 SASSA Grant cards.

Netshiunda said the suspects were first spotted by an off duty police officer who saw the said suspects at an ATM at Mangrove Centre in North Beach, Durban.

She said they were acting strange and suspicious as they were withdrawing money. She then called for Metro Police back up.

Lucky enough they were not far from the said place.

They were approached by the law enforcement officers and questioned them.

“They were also found in possession of over R60 000-00 in cash, 32 SASSA cards, 22 bank cards from various banking institutions as well as four cellphones.”
