Suspects who Defrauded Bank R 6.6 Million and Disappeared Released on Bail

Six suspects arrested for defrauding a bank of R 6.6 million in Free State.

According to statement by the Hawks, suspects between the ages of 47 and 31 years old created payslips and proof of payments which they sent to the bank to apply for financing. Once the loans were approved the suspects allegedly disappeared. They amassed over R 6.6 million in their illegal dealings with one of the leading banks in the country. 

It is also said that the said suspects were assisted by an employee of the bank who is now allegedly suspended because of the matter at hand.

Six vehicles including BMW 220i, BMW 320d, BMW X-drive, two VW Golf GTI and a Mercedes Benz coupe have been bought by the suspects amounting to excess of R5 million and an estimate R 800 000 was acquired through loans.

These suspects, Glen Ceaser (31), Veronica Crouch 30, Jolene Crouch 35, Chillerboy Floyd Buys 37, Mosa Harrinton Tseleli, Simon Cornelius Botha 46 and Mosa Harington Tseleli 36 appeared briefly at the Bloemfonten Magistrate Court today. 

They were both released on R 2000 bail each and due to appear again on March 02.
