Seven Suspects Arrested in Possession of Stolen Medical Goods in Akasia Tshwane

Six men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of staging a truck hijacking after the suspects were found on a plot in Strydfontein in Tshwane in possession of suspected stolen property linked to an abandoned truck.

This is according SAPS in Akasia, Tshwane after arresting these suspects on the eve of new year.

Officers say they became suspicious when they noticed a tracking company vehicle attending to a truck that was allegedly abandoned on Railway Street in The Orchards area.

Upon further investigations by the police they discovered that the truck was lost and the tracking company located it using their tracking services after failing on several attempts to get hold of the designated truck driver.

Truck belongs to a health care logistics company and was on its way to make a delivery to the wholesaler.

These suspects were arrested after being found in possession of these stolen goods.

Value of the goods is yet to be determined.

Date for their court appearance is yet to be announced.
