Gauteng still continues to lead in terms of number of confirmed cases of Covid-19. The province now sits at 969 followed by Western Cape and KwaZulu Natal at 675 and 539 respectively.
According to a statement by Health Minister Zweli Mkhize on late Thursday night, the country recorded an increase of COVID-19 related deaths with the total number sitting at 48. The Eastern Cape and Limpopo provinces recorded their first deaths.
Number of infections are now sitting at 2 605.
KwaZulu Natal has recorded highest number of deaths now sitting at 20 followed by Western Cape with 13 related deaths.
While on the other hand Gauteng has recorded highest number of recoveries now sitting at 479 followed by Western Cape with 205.
