Communications Minister Stella Ndaveni’s brunch might cost her a lot this time as the police have launched an investigation on her.

Minister was suspended earlier this week for violating 21 days national lockdown after paying a visit to former deputy minister Mduduzi Manana.

Police have confirmed the case which was opened against the minister by the opposition party the red berets Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

Police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters: “The case was opened at Douglasdale Police Station on Wednesday, so the necessary investigative processes are under way and we cannot deliberate on that but that it revolves around contravention of the Disaster Management Act.”

The minister was given a two months suspension by the president as a form of punishment, one month which will be unpaid.
