Police officials continue to enforce lockdown regulations as arrests for violation of the regulations increase.

A 36 years old woman and 40 years old man both from Gugulethu were arrested in suspicion of being primary perpetrators of burglary in a liquor store.

The burglary also adds up to various other liquor store burglaries that have been reported in Mpumalanga and Limpopo where an undisclosed amount of alcohol have been stolen.

During a briefing yesterday, police minister Bheki Cele said no one is even allowed to carry alcohol anywhere in the country during this lockdown.

Any trader found to be selling alcohol during the lockdown will be arrested and charged together with anyone found consuming one.
