Police Captain caught draining diesel from a state vehicle

A 50 years old police officer was remanded in police custody after making a brief court appearance at Brits Magistrates Court.
North West Police Spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said Captain Juan Oosthuizen was allegedly caught draining diesel out of a park state vehicle.
“The Captain attached to the Brits Visible Policing, was allegedly caught on Saturday afternoon, 4 February 2023, draining diesel out of the tank of a parked state vehicle.”
“Consequent to investigation by the Provincial Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit (ACIU), the member was arrested on Wednesday, 8 February 2023.”
Mokgwabone added that Oosthuizen will make another appearance on February 15th for formal bail application.
