Parolee sent back to prison for murder

A 40 years old parole who could stay away from his criminal behaviour has unfortunately found himself back in the holding cells. This time around, Themba Godfrey Nkosi got arrested for murder after being on the run for almost three years.

It is said according to investigation conducted by Warrant Officer Phadi that the now convicted Nkosi received a phone call from a friend who was involved in a fight with the deceased Nthabeleng Molefe requesting assistance on 02 July 2016, to which he made a way to the said scene.Upon arrival, Nkosi fatally shot Molefe once in the abdomen leading to his death.

Having been on the run since then, he was arrested on October 22, 2019 after being traced by SAPS tracing department.

To add to that, the police said he offered them R 10 000 on the spot to be let go. Nkosi had, at the time of committing the crime, been known for having involvement in several criminal cases and he was out on parole for a previous robbery conviction.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for murder, with an additional 7 years for the corruption charge.
