Man stabs pregnant wife to death at a taxi rank

A 41 years old man from Kolong near Taung village in the North West has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his pregnant wife at the time.
Court heard that Thapelo Edwin Mojaki had approached the wife, 36 years old Matshidiso Mojaki at a taxi rank on her way to work in the company of her 16 and 18 years old children.
Henry Mamothame from the NPA said that Mojaki then asked the wife for money and the wife said she did not have. In response, he took out a sheep sheering scissors and stabbed her multiple times.
She was later on declared dead in the scene.
He was arrested and denied bail a day later.
