A murder case against ANC MP Sibusiso Kula has been postponed to March 14th pending further investigations.

This is also while his appeal application for the Judge to reconsider denying him bail in his first court appearance was denied.

The 34 years old Kula was accused of killing his wife on November 27, 2022.

NPA Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said police reports revealed that Kula’s wife was found murdered on 27 November 2022, in what seemed like a robbery.

“She was found with a stab wound on her back but the object that was used for her alleged murder has not been recovered. The matter was reported by the medical facility where she was allegedly transported by the accused to receive medical attention. He told the police that he was not present at his home when the incident occurred.”

However, Kula’s lies caught up with him following thorough investigations by the police which managed to link him to the crime and eventually arrested him on January 20th.

He has been in police custody since his arrest.

Mamothame said the senior state Adv. Benny Kalakgosi, urged the court to strike his bail application appeal off the roll, as the papers submitted by Kula’s attorney were not in order. Judge Andre Peterson ruled in favour of the state and the matter was struck off the court roll.
