The Independent Examination Board have announced that a total of 98.82% of pupils passed the 2019 matric. Just a drop from 98.92% last year.
This is according to CEO Anne Oberholzer who made the announcement earlier today through a statement.
Out of 11 818 full time learners and 779 part time, 89.51% qualified for entry to study a degree, while 7.91% qualified for entry to study a diploma and 1.4% for studying at the Higher Certificate level.
Oberholzer said that those who would like to go for remarking have until January 13.
She also added that results were approved by Umalusi.
While on the other hand National Senior Certificate (NSC) results will announced by the minister later today.
