Gauteng Dept of Education temporarily shuts down 2022 online registrations for emergency fix

Gauteng Department of Education say they have temporarily stop 2022 online registration because of emergency fix that needs to be attended to.

This just in a week of opening the online registration and administering over 100 000 successful applications.

The first phase registration is scheduled to last up until 3 September 2021, for learners who are currently in grade 7.

In a statement released by the department they said that the shutdown will take place for the next 48 hours until further notice.

“This means that parents and guardians who are applying for current phase 1 application period will not be able to access the website from 17 August 2021 until further notice.”

“Applications will not be affected by this emergency and parents may resume applying once we give notice of website going live again. Our technicians are working around the clock to resolve this emergency accordingly. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience” said Education MEC Mr Panyaza Lesufi.
