A case against a 42 years old former ANC councilor Blessing Nkosi has been postponed to November 25 for formal bail application and appointment of legal representative.
The former Barbeton councilor is facing two counts of murder after being accused of killing an off duty police officer and his friend at a local tavern.
Hawks Spokesperson Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said that the now accused Nkosi was arrested by members of the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation based in Nelspruit, Provincial Tracking Team, Barberton Detective Services and Flying Squad on Tuesday having been traced by the officials.
“The incident was brought to the attention of the authorities. Upon arrival at the scene, SAPS members as well as paramedics discovered two lifeless bodies of males with multiple gunshot wounds.”
Sekgotodi added that the suspect will remain in police custody until the next court appearance.
