DJ Maphorisa arrested for allegedly assaulting girlfriend

Popular DJ and hit maker Popular DJ and hit maker Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe also known as DJ Maphorisa was arrested for allegedly assaulting girlfriend who is also a popular DJ, Thuli Phongolo.

Reports say that Phongolo alleges that the fight between the two started a night before at Maphorisa’s gig.

She alleges that she had confronted him the following day, Sunday morning to speak about it but an argument ensued and he assaulted her several times.

He was later on arrested after she was taken to the police station to report the matter by her manager.

Maphorisa is expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday on charges of assault.
