Former Carltonville Creche caregiver who was found guilty and convicted of one count of aggravated assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm on three minors was sentenced to 5 years behind bars.
The 40 years Nellie Senwametsi was captured in a video clip on April 2019 assaulting an infant multiple times and on one occasion forcing the other one to clean up their vomit.

Magistrate Jan Steyn who was chairing that case said that he strayed from the prescribed minimum sentence of 10 years because the Senwametsi seemed remorseful and intended on apologising to the families of the children.
However, she was declared unfit to work with minors.
