Police in Polokwane encourage people to consider talking with a professional or someone they trust should they find themselves having problems instead of resorting to domestic violence.
This statement was made following the discovery of a corpse of a 30 years old nurse who was found lying in a pool of her own blood and a weapon suspected to have been used on her right next to her.
Right at the top a body of a male believed to have been her partner was also hanging.
The incident happened at Mahlasedi village in Limpopo, discovered by a neighbour on Thursday in the early afternoon hours around 14:30pm.
Although the motive behind the incident is yet to be determined, police say they are not ruling out domestic violence.
In another unrelated matter, police condemned mob justice by the community in Kokomeng village in the North West where two men aged 20 and 23 were almost assaulted by community members on New Year’s day after allegedly killing 19 years old Onthatile Ntlhaele.
Ntlhaele was walking home with his girlfriend from a local tarven just after New Year’s celebration where they were approached by these young men and demanded cell phones.
The girlfriend managed to escape unharmed but Ntlhaele was certified dead on the scene after suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police say they were approached by about 60 community members upon arresting the two suspects.
The members then started fighting with the police demanding that the suspects to be handed over to them.
