Bodies of a Woman and Son Found Burnt in Thohoyandou Graveyard

Police in Limpopo Thohoyandou are investigating a case of murder after a 35-year-old mother and 4-year-old son were found burnt next to a graveyard on Saturday at the Ha-Budeli village.

The bodies are said to have been discovered by a passerby who immediately alerted the police.

Upon arrival, police say they found a flammable substance and a box of matches next to the bodies.

They say it is possible that it could be a case of murder and suicide after finding a suicide note next to the corpses.

It is believed that the mother may have set the child alight before turning on herself.

Investigations are still continuing.
