Bawinile Khoza’s murder accused Philip Mailula from Mmametlhake to appear in court

Family of the late Bawinile Khoza from Mmametlhake forced to relive the pain of losing their daughter who was brutally raped and murdered over two years ago.

Bawinile’s body was found dumped in a bush with wounds in December 2017.

Her murder accused Philip Mailula from Snake Park was linked to her death through DNA testing and was arrested in 2018 after it was also found that then 9 years old Khoza was also raped.

Mailula was later on released on bail to which the Mmametlhake community protested against and demanded that he be put back in jail, his house was then demolished and burned.

Failing to reappear in court around July 2019, a warrant of arrest was issued against him and he will today appear in Mbokola High Court for sentencing.
