Aunts abandon a toddler (4) on the road who was tired of walking

Two cousins aged 19 and 20 years old are set to make a court appearance at Dewertsdorp Magistrates Court on January 17th on child neglect charges.
A statement by the police says the women were on their way to the farms along R702 Road area together with a 4 years old toddler mid-day.
They left the toddler lying under a tree by the road side towards Daspoort when she started saying she was tired of walking.
Upon arrival at their destination, they told the toddlers mother that they left the child sleeping under a tree on the road side. The mother immediately alerted the police about the matter and search team was assembled to look for the child but she could not be found at the time.
As a result, the duo was arrested.
The lifeless body of the young Reitumetse Madibeng was only found a day later after a continued search in the veld near farm road.
