Estimated reading time: 5 minute(s)

In what one could say is not that much of a surprising event in Durban, Abfana be’sthende, also known as Golden Arrows once again made sure that Soweto soccer giants continues with their winless streak. A moment which could’ve possibly changed the mood of the game in 11th minute of the game created by newly signed Lilepo, was shortly celebrated.

Lilepo was awarded a penalty in the 11th minute after being fouled in the 18 areas but unfortunately Captain Yussuf Maart was too casual with the clear opportunity after hitting the left pole. The penalty miss meant that Arrows were left off the hook now and given an opportunity to rectify their mistake and fight back.

Their fight back paid up in the 25th minute when Nduduzo Sibiya gave arrows the lead in the 25th minute mark after an incisive move toward the Chiefs penalty area. With Knox Mutizwa creating play, the Arrows forward played Sibiya through on goal on the left side of the six-yard area, and he subsequently scored from close range.

The lead was only enjoyed for 4 minutes by Arrows when Maart redeemed himself after scoring a goal in the 29th minute taking the 1 all draw to the last minute in the first half.

Arrows showed more hunger in the second half which led to their second goal in the 78th minute through Mutizwa, who proved to be a difficult customer for Chiefs throughout the encounter. After capping off a well-delivered cross by Siyanda Mthanti, Mutizwa made no mistake from close range.
