An argument leads to wife and step-daughter being shot dead

A 61 years old man from Kosmos, Hartbeespoortdam is set to remain in police custody following his arrest for the alleged murder of his wife and step-daughter.

According to a statement by the police, it is said that the accused, Paul Prinsloo allegedly got into an argument with his wife on Monday, November 27th at around 14:30 which led to him taking a hunting rifle and allegedly shooting both females.

The Emergency Medical Services declared them dead on the scene. They were aged 58 and 31 years old.

Prinsloo was arrested on the scene and made a brief court appearance at Brits Magistrates’ Court two days later where the matter was postponed to December 6th.
