Coach Arthur Zwane has sang praises for his squad after defeating their all time rivals, the Buccaneers in a 0-1 on Saturday.

Amakhosi had to redeem themselves after being knocked out of MTN8 competition by Usuthu this past weekend.

Zwane said he is very happy because the team stuck to their tactical plan all throughout the game which frustrated the opponents.

“But I must also credit Orlando Pirates for not allowing time and space on the ball at some point, but we always knew that as long as they play a high line then we were to catch them at some point.”

The Buccaneers got stabbed in the by their own academy graduate, Yusuf Maart who scored a goal of the season contender in the 74th minute.

Maart’s awareness and quickness of thought decided the match with a piece of ingenious brilliance, he picked up a loose ball inside his own half, spotted goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane off his line and from fully 60 metres out.

Unfortunately the ball hit the net first and Mpontshane followed, a goal which completely changed the game and saw the stadium roaring.
