Soweto soccer giants Amakhosi got into 2023 on a positive note after securing a 0-2 win over Golden Arrows on December 31st.

This saw the team going up to the 4th place on the log just 7 points behind the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and 5 points above their rivals Orlando Pirates who are on 19 points on the 5th position.

Amakhosi started the year without one of their key players Njabulo Blom whom they confirmed to have left the team through a transfer to US Major League Soccer team, St. Louis City SC during December.

That is something that Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr said was a bittersweet transaction to complete taking into consideration that Blom is one of the most successful students to come out of their academy.
